Special Collections in the University of Delaware Library

The Special Collections Department contains old or rare books, manuscripts, photographs, maps, and other materials from the fifteenth to the twentieth centuries. Usually, Special Collections material is used for more specialized or advanced research.

To read or look at Special Collections material, you must visit the Special Collections Reading Room on the second floor of the Morris Library. Since Special Collections materials do not circulate, you must read them in the Reading Room.

Readers must complete a registration form on their first visit, present valid photo-identification, and sign the register every day that they visit.
