University of Delaware Library Receives Rockwood Archives
The University of Delaware Library announces that the Archives of the Rockwood Museum have been received as a gift from New Castle County. At the same time, the Friends of Rockwood has established the John Sweeney Fellowship in the Library’s Special Collections Department to assist in processing the Archives.
The exhibition will highlight materials in the University of Delaware Library that focus on Reggae legend Bob Marley who worked as a janitor at the Hotel DuPont, as a warehouse worker, and as an assembly line worker at the Chrysler plant in Newark during the mid 1960s.
The University of Delaware Library announces the exhibition "ABC: An Alphabet Exhibition" on view in the Special Collections Exhibition Gallery of the Morris Library at the University of Delaware from Monday, August 24, 2009, through Friday, December 18, 2009.
SciFinder (Chemical Abstracts), formerly available as SciFinder Scholar locally installed software, has migrated to the Web. SciFinder on the Web provides access to the CAS databases, which contain literature from many scientific disciplines including biomedical sciences, chemistry, engineering, materials science, and agricultural science.
The University of Delaware Library has installed additional wireless and electrical access on the second and third floors on the east side of the Morris Library.
