<p><note><p>This small, early- to mid-twentieth-century manuscript recipe book contains numerous clippings for desserts, household hints, and other topics related to the home, as well as several hand-written recipes.</p></note> </p>
<p> The contents are loosely organized with sections for various desserts, question-and-answer clippings, and household hints. The earlier entries appear to follow this organizational scheme, but become more interspersed later in the volume, with recipes for desserts and main dishes alongside one another. Approximately three-fourths of the volume is filled, almost all of which contain clippings pasted on lined pages. In addition to the clippings are several handwritten recipes in both ink and pencil. Throughout the volume, there are loose clippings laid-in, including a mimeographed recipe. There are also several sections of blank pages, possibly to leave room for additional entries. Notable condition issues include the volume’s torn covers and missing pages.</p></scopecontent>
