Biographical Note

George Frederick Somers was the H. Fletcher Brown Professor of Biology at the University of Delaware, with co-appointments in Biology, Marine Studies, Nursing, Medical Technology, and Physical Therapy departments. He was also a Rhodes Scholar.

Scope and Content Note

The G. Frederick Somers Papers consists of 8 linear feet of material dating from 1910-1983 with the bulk of the material from 1973-1983. The collection contains books, maps, slides, research notebooks, project summaries, and grant proposals, relating to his research.
