Biographical Note

Cleveland Morris helped found the Delaware Theatre Company, in Wilmington, Delaware, in 1978. He served as its artistic director until his retirement in the summer of 1998.


Scope and Content Note

The Cleveland Morris Papers consist of 10 linear feet of material spanning the dates 1984-1998. They are the personal and administrative files of Cleveland Morris, primarily related to his work as artistic director for the Delaware Theatre Company (DTC). The papers include DTC minutes, agenda, budgets, photocopied clippings, annual meeting reports, financial statements, committee reports, notebooks for individual shows, scripts, correspondence, posters, playbills, pamphlets, and material related to the Educators' Workshop.
