About Our Collections

A finding aid tells you about an archival collection -- who created it and what is in it -- so you can decide if the collection is useful to you. This database provides access to finding aids for archival collections in Special Collections at the UD Library, Museums and Press. By using the search box below or clicking "Collections," you can explore the finding aids and filter your results by Keyword, Date, Type, Subject, Language, or Names.

Every archival collection in Special Collections has been assigned a specific collection call number, which identifies the Collection Category and the kind of materials found within. This linked document explains how Collection Categories may help shape research strategies. While archival collections can be found through this database, books, serials, and other published materials can be found in DELCAT, the Library’s online catalog. For more information, including detailed searching instructions, please see the Introduction to Special Collections LibGuide.

Archival collections that are available digitally will link directly to those items in their finding aids. You can learn more about locating and using these materials on our Digital Collections resource page.

If you have any questions or would like to request materials found here, please contact Special Collections using our AskSpec webform.
