Irish painter and illustrator Jack B. Yeats was born August 29, 1871, in London, England. He was the son of John Butler Yeats, a successful portrait painter, and younger brother of the distinguished Irish poet, William Butler Yeats.

This collection consists of seven autograph notes, letters, and cards signed by Jack B. Yeats, including one autograph card signed by his sister Lily Yeats. All are addressed to publisher Elkin Mathews. The letters concern various projects Yeats and Mathews were working on. The card from Lily Yeats to Mathews was a request for a book as a Christmas gift to her father as well as an order for "Jack's little books." The letters are dated between 1906 and 1920.
