Irish poet and editor Seumas O'Sullivan (1879–1958) was born James Sullivan Starkey (1879–1958). He established and edited the Dublin Magazine, which published many works during the Irish Literary Renaissance.

This collection consists of an autograph letter signed by Seumas O'Sullivan writing from Adelaide Hospital. The letter was originally laid in O'Sullivan's The Twilight People (Special Collections call number: SPEC S26 PR6037.T19 T94).
