1 Series I. Correspondence. Consists of 161 items, including letters, poetry, prose manuscripts, photographs, clippings, and photocopies sent to Hoskins between 1922 and 1988. Included is correspondence from friends, publishers, and literary figures such as Wallace Stevens, Virgil Thomson, William Carlos Williams, Robert Lowell, William Meredith, and Malcolm Cowley. Also included are numerous prose and poetry manuscripts sent to Hoskins by John Holmes, Will Davenport, Francis Golffing, and Barbara Gibbs Golffing. The scrapbook contains ca. 60 clippings, most of which are articles and book reviews from the Washington Post. Most of the articles were written by Katherine Hoskins, who frequently used Katherine de Montalant or Katherine Lackey as pen names. Many of her articles appear under the column "The Post Impressionist." Also included in the scrapbook are clippings of articles and book reviews written by her husband, Albert Learnard Hoskins, Jr., who used the pen name "Albert Lernard."
