Description:
The John DePol Papers richly detail the life of John DePol as it relates to his work. Among these personal papers are a few
exceptions, material which is of a personal nature, such as items of personal
identification, a small amount of family correspondence, a few financial papers which record his early employment, and papers which
record his military service and a trip to
Also available is
a file of the Christmas greetings which DePol created
each year, frequently with a new wood engraving which decorated the card or
letter. Among the printed material found
in this series are a print of a copper etching of President Theodore Roosevelt
etched by Jacques Reich and an illuminated music manuscript.

The first is a print of a copper etching of Theodore Roosevelt by Jacques
Reich (signed by both Roosevelt and Reich,
1900). The second item is an illuminated
music manuscript on parchment with an illuminated
initial in red with violet decoration.
The music manuscript has five lines of music on a five line stave and
measures 20 ½ inches by 15 ¼ inches (525 cm x 390 cm).
