The John DePol Papers richly detail the life of John DePol as it relates to his work. Among these personal papers are a few exceptions, material which is of a personal nature, such as items of personal identification, a small amount of family correspondence, a few financial papers which record his early employment, and papers which record his military service and a trip to Europe in 1947.

Also available is a file of the Christmas greetings which DePol created each year, frequently with a new wood engraving which decorated the card or letter. Among the printed material found in this series are a print of a copper etching of President Theodore Roosevelt etched by Jacques Reich and an illuminated music manuscript.
