Scope and Content Note
This collection consists of over 150 trade cards of merchants from Delaware, many of which focus on the area of Wilmington. Some of the merchants represented in this collection include hatters, saddle makers, grocers, watchmakers, photographers, dentists, and tailors. The majority of these cards date from the nineteenth century and provide important information regarding addresses and in some cases, images of buildings. Also included in this collection are various announcements and invitations, regarding weddings, deaths, and commencement exercises. This collection has been divided into business cards and advertisement cards, invitations, calling cards, and miscellaneous items.Arrangement Note
