Collection Note

Sharon Cumberland writes poetry and teaches American Literature and Poetry at Seattle University. The Sharon Cumberland Papers consists of 3 linear ft. of material dating from 1963 to 1994. Of particular interest are Ms. Cumberland's journals which include records of her time at the Catholic Worker, her interactions with a number of notable people including Dorthy Day, and her notes about psychotherapy sessions. The collection includes correspondence, journals, typescripts, notebooks, research files, photographs, clippings, and ephemera.
