Biographical Note
Donna Clayton, a resident of the state of Delaware, is an award winning, bestselling romance novelist. She began her writing career in 1990 when Harlequin Books published her first novel Mountain Laurel. Romance Writers of America chose the novel as a finalist for the Golden Heart Literary Contest. In 2002 her novels Close Proximity and Who Will Be the Father of My Baby? were also chosen as finalist for the Golden Quill Short Contemporary Category. Her 1994 release, Wife for a While, was a Walden’s Bookstore romance bestseller. In addition, Romance Writers of America selected this title as the winner of the 1995 Holt Medallion. Ms. Clayton was the recipient of a second Holt Medallion in 1999 for her novel Who’s the Father of Jenny’s Baby? In 2000, she was the recipient of The Diamond Author Award for Literary Achievement, sponsored by Romance Writers of America Delaware Chapter. Ms. Clayton has published twenty-five titles with two forthcoming. Translations of her work are available in numerous languages including French, German, Greek, Japanese, and Italian.

Scope and Content Note
The Donna Clayton Collection was donated by the author in 2003. It consists of three series. The first series consists of twenty-five novels and foreign translations published during the years 1990-2003. The second series consists of fan letters written to the author from 1998- 2002. The third series consists of award certificates the author received from 1990-2002. The collection is organized in alphabetical order by the English title. Foreign translations are grouped with the English translations.
