Brandywine Springs Photo Album, 1902.
Historic Photograph Collection.
Brandywine Springs, in the Wilmington suburb of Faulkland, is
now a quiet suburban neighborhood, but from 1886 until 1923, it
was a major amusement park with a carousel, fun house, roller
coaster and marina. Trolleys from downtown Wilmington brought
families to the park for a day of relaxation. The photos in this
album were taken during the period when the park was at its height,
a few years after trolley service began.
