Material from these collections does not circulate and must be consulted in the Reading Room, Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Tuesday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Before visiting special collections, please read the policies & procedures page. Announcement!

The Special Collections Department of the University of Delaware Library will be undergoing some urgently needed renovation of the movable stacks during the period December 12, 2009-March 15, 2010. During this period, the Library will maintain its commitment to service when feasible. However, there will be limited access to Special Collections books, manuscripts, and other materials and some collections may be inaccessible to users until the renovation is completed.


Further, Special Collections staff will also have limited access to collections which may affect their ability to respond to reference questions. Researchers who wish to use the collections should contact Special Collections as early as possible by phone (302-831-2229), fax (302-831-1046), or AskSpec with questions concerning the availability of Special Collections materials.
