Finding Books in DELCAT

What is DELCAT?

You could think of DELCAT as the inventory of everything the library owns. Like inventory records, bibliographic records in DELCAT provide detailed information about library resources. DELCAT includes information about all books, journals, media, rare books and other materials owned by the University of Delaware Library.

A bibliographic record will tell you the call number, author, title, and publisher of a book. For magazines, journals and newspapers, their bibliographic records list their call number, title, and which issues are owned by the library.

Currently, DELCAT contains bibliographic records for more than 2.4 million items.
